9 NOV. Saturdy, TORONTO: Ensemble Polaris - "The Nutcracker like you never heard it before!"

MISSISSAUGA - The festive season is around the corner, and soon the strains of familiar music will be ringing through shopping malls, concert halls and over the radio.
By the time the actual holidays get here, you’ll have heard Feliz Navidad or Jingle Bell Rock so many times that they might be wearing a little thin.
This is where Ensemble Polaris comes in. On Saturday, the Toronto group will be in the city to serve up an antidote to the seasonal clichés with Definitely a Different Nutcracker.
Presented by the Chamber Music Society of Mississauga, the concert takes place in The Great Hall of The Unitarian Congregation of Mississauga, starting at 8 p.m.
