Elk jaar biedt Stichting Draailier en Doedelzak een cursusreeks aan, zowel voor beginners als voor gevorderden. Daarnaast is er een samenspelgroep waarbij alle instrumenten welkom zijn. De cursus vindt plaats in Zeist op de volgende zaterdagen:

Geen instrument? Geen probleem! Cursisten kunnen een instrument huren.

De cursusdagen starten om 13.00 en duren tot 17:00.
De workshopdag vindt plaats in basisschool De Griffel te Zeist. Klik verder voor de routebeschrijving. Een goed bespeelbaar en perfect afgeregeld instrument is voorwaarde voor deelname. Deelnemers zijn daarnaast ook bereid thuis voldoende tijd in het instrument te steken om de lesstof voor de volgende les voor te bereiden.

Jaarlijks organiseert Stichting Draailier en Doedelzak een interessante workshopdag in Zeist. De cursussen duren deze dag van 10:00 tot 17:00, waarna we de dag gezamenlijk met een hapje en een drankje afsluiten.
Deze dag bieden we verdiepende workshops voor verschillende niveaus aan. Er zijn curssusen zowel voor beginners als voor gevorderde spelers. Voor de deelnemers aan de beginnersgroepen draailier of doedelzak hebben we een aantal leeninstrumenten beschikbaar.

We vonden het fijn om zoveel nieuwe en oude vrienden te verwelkomen. Dit jaar waren jullie voor het eerst met heel veel. Dat was wel wat hectisch voor ons....maar ook supertof! Dank jullie wel voor jullie enthousiasme! :D
En we hopen jullie volgend jaar 5-7 april weer allemaal te zien tijdens het Workshopweekend 2019: voor bourdonmuziek (bal) folk en samenspel

Workshopweekend 15 April 2018 | Stichting Draailier en Doedelzak (NL)

Jaarlijks organiseert Stichting Draailier en Doedelzak een weekend voor beginners, halfgevorderden en gevorderde spelers. Bij de deelname aan de workshops zijn natuurlijk de kosten van overnachting (in 4-6 persoonskamers) en verblijf (lunch, warme maaltijd, ontbijt, en koffie en thee tussendoor) inbegrepen.
Overdag zijn er cursussen, 's avonds muziek en optredens. Op dit moment zijn we nog bezig met de voorbereidingen voor het weekend in 2018.  (ENGLISH BELOW*)

"Windows", Hurdy-gurdy for advanced players: Rene Meeuws (NL)

In this workshop Rene will show and explain his way of playing the hurdy-gurdy. In this workshop he will work with modern tunes, sometimes polyphonic. He likes G/C, D/G and other hurdygurdies in his group. Rene is a famous Dutch HG-player and one of the founders of our foundation. Be prepared to be challenged by this excellent hurdy-gurdy player!

Playing HG in a Band: Koen Dhoore (Be)

This day Koen Dhoore will give a hurdygurdy workshop for halfadvanced and advanced players. If you play hurdy-gurdy with other instruments, for instance in a band, where do you have to deal with? Are there things you should consider in your playing style and techniques? Besides this important issue, we will also focus on playing techniques and ornamentation.

Always wanted to play the hurdy-gurdy? This workshop is especially for people who never played the hurdy-gurdy before. The workshop is the oppurtunity to discover the basics of the instrument while learning easy but beautiful melodies. Instruments can be rented and twee weeks beforehand there is an introductory morning (23th of September) in which you will receive the rental instrument and the basic information needed to get started the first two weeks. requirements: none, this is a beginners course At the moment we've run out of rental gurdies…

Deze workshops zijn bedoeld voor iedereen die net is begonnen met het spelen van draailier en doedelzak. Je deed bijvoorbeeld mee aan de beginnersworkshop tijdens ons workshopweekend, bij de workshopdag in oktober of speelt maximaal een paar maanden. Deze workshop is niet bedoeld als introductie, maar echt om verder te bouwen op wat we al kunnen. Er is een workshop voor draailier (door Cor Westbroek) en voor doedelzak (door Jonneke Jorissen) * ENGLISH BELOW

Tijdens deze workshops gaan we opfrissen en verdiepen wat we geleerd hebben, zodat je voldoende stof hebt om thuis verder aan de slag te gaan. We kijken nog eens goed naar onze speeltechnieken, houding en welke vervolgstappen we kunnen maken. Loop je thuis tegen dingen aan? Heb je vragen? Stel deze in het inschrijfformulier aan de docent.

Cor Westbroek Cor is een gepassioneerde draailierspeler die 'het vak' leerde bij gerenommeerde draailierspelers als Patrick Bouffard, Maxou Heintzen, Pierre Sacépé, Marcel Denis en Jacques le Correque. De draailierkennis van Cor is verbazingwekkend, hij is dan ook niet voor niks de beheerder van onze huurdraailieren. Ook geeft hij regelmatig les aan beginners en aan meer gevorderde spelers.

Jonneke Jorissen Jonneke gaat aan de slag met beginners Doedelzak.Jonneke geeft al enkele jaren les voor Stichting Draailier en Doedelzak. Ze gaf eerder workshops aan beginners maar ook aan meer ervaren spelers. De liefde voor de bourdon-instrumenten kreeg Jonneke al van jongs af aan met de paplepel ingegoten. Met haar groep Chardon speelde Jonneke op menig bal en op festivals in binnen- en buitenland, zoals Folkwoods en Boombal Festival.
