Dank jullie wel dat jullie allemaal bij elkaar kwamen om samen muziek te maken en het geven van nieuwe muziekinspiratie.
We vonden het fijn om zoveel nieuwe en oude vrienden te verwelkomen. Dit jaar waren jullie voor het eerst met heel veel. Dat was wel wat hectisch voor ons....maar ook supertof! Dank jullie wel voor jullie enthousiasme! :D
En we hopen jullie volgend jaar 5-7 april weer allemaal te zien tijdens het Workshopweekend 2019: voor bourdonmuziek (bal) folk en samenspel

le stage du Printemps 2018 est destiné  Aux  viellistes, vielleux, vielleurs, et autres giroviellistes, à la sortie de l’hibernation… A ceux, celles des stages précédents, désirant poursuivre l’aventure,  les nouvelles vocations ou  les curieux du quartier, des alentours, désirant découvrir ou approfondir l’accord classique en do, les modes, les rythmes etc… les entrailles profondes de la Vielle à roue.

La Rochebeaucourt et Argentine  Dordogne

Le stage d’été, dans un cadre champêtre, rural , typique du Périgord blanc : « La Grande Métairie » à La Rochebeaucourt en Périgord, dont le but est de promouvoir et de développer diverses activités culturelles et de loisirs (stages, spectacles…) dans un esprit d’ouverture et de convivialité.
Nous y associerons les joies de l’étude instrumentale aux plaisirs du jeu en groupe.

Le programme des stages

Le stage est conçu autour de “l’organologie orchestrale” de l’instrument.
Les différents éléments : bourdons, cigales, chanterelles, sont étudiés séparément et simultanément pour aboutir a un jeu complet incluant ces divers éléments. ;
Concrètement, autour de pièces faciles ou moins faciles …
et extraits du recueil paru  chez “Tradmag” que vous pouvez acquérir ICI

– Les matinées

sont consacrées a l’apprentissage des techniques de bases traditionnelles et actuelles… : rythmes, modes, expressions, ornementations, variations, toujours par des exemples… airs de danses et autres…– les rythmes : techniques et rythmes de base, empruntés à diverses traditions du monde.– les modes : ils sont au coeur du jeu de vielle. Ils seront étudiés à partir de mélodies et du travail du clavier.

– Les après-midi

sont proposées sous forme de répétition d’orchestre « La Manivelle joyeuse », à partir des airs abordés le matin, nous les mettrons en forme avec arrangements, orchestrations qui mettront en valeur les différentes manières de faire sonner l’instrument au sein d’une petite formation et selon les niveaux présents.

seront animées et conviviales : conférences, causeries, concerts, Veillées, bal trad.

– The song is named „Totentanz“ (Dance oft the Death) . It is an old Melody, Menez Tan wrote the Lyrics.
It is a Lovestory and begins when a man is walking in deep winter through snow and wind to his love, who is waiting for him for beeing taken to dance.
But he has a bad message to bring her. He has to go to war. During his journey the death is near.
Both, he and his maid, who is spinning at home while she is waiting for him, are remembering the first time they met.
When he reaches the House of his sweetheart they are happy to see each other but very sad about the message. They are afraid about the death who is waiting beside of his chance .
But they don´t want to give up hope, either he will come home alive or - they promised each other- they will dance together in their next lives.

Warum Menez Tan, warum Vulkan? Ein Vulkan bedeutet rohe, ursprüngliche Energie. Wie ein Vulkan kehrt Musik das Innerste zu äußerst, wie bei einem Vulkan tritt Verborgenes zu Tage, werden Verbindungen zwischen der Unter- und Überwelt hergestellt.

Das Instrumentarium mit Gesang, Drehleier, Flöten und Percussion spiegelt sowohl das Unter- als auch Überirdische wieder: Trommeln und Bordune bringen erdige Noten, Flöten entführen in luftige Gefilde. Dazwischen stehen der Gesang und die Melodie als Bindeglied zwischen den Welten.

Why Menez Tan,why volcano? A volcano means raw, primal energy. Like a volcano, music turns the innermost out, like a volcano it reveals what had been hidden, and connections are established between the underworld and the open air.

The choice of instruments, including vocals, Hurdy Gurdy, whistles and percussion, reflects both the underworld and the air. Drums and drones bring earthy notes, whistles lead to airy regions. Between them, the vocals and melody form a link between the worlds.
